Background
What has evolved into E-Space began by my searching the market for
hardware that would allow connecting a horizontal member to a round vertical
column for my own use in remodeling my home. After looking high and low, I
came to the conclusion that if I were to achieve the desired aesthetic and
functional objectives at a reasonable cost, I would have to design such a
connector. That connector allows for a lot of very beneficial things to happen
which are detailed herein.
My search for “Green Materials” began a long time ago. For years, I have
been composting, planting natural plants that don’t need watering, etc.
As one energy saving device, I added a layer of rigid foam on the roof of our
home in Los Angeles so that we would not have to turn on our air conditioner
(it worked wonderfully well for that purpose and airplane noise disappeared).
Having spent a number of years manufacturing architecturally oriented products,
I have friends in the architectural community and I shared my home remodeling

Several pointed out that my own criteria was little different from a large number
of environmentally oriented folks who want to live in an ecologically sound home
yet does not compromise one’s standard of living. Their feedback encouraged
me to offer to others the component package that I had assembled for my own
use.
The result is E-Space Systems and the response is most gratifying. If you are
